RISO Digital Printers use substantially less energy than other printing technologies to produce their output. Whilst traditional copiers generate substantial amounts of heat through fusing toner onto the page, a RISO Digital Printer simply drops ink directly onto paper. This reduces the electricity consumption of our machines to a fraction of that of competing technologies - helping you to reduce consumption of precious resources, whilst also saving money on your energy bills.
The incredible reliability of our Digital Printers means that paper jams are almost non-existent, and maintenance is reduced to a minimum. This saves paper through less waste and reduces the consumption of spare parts, whilst at the same time saving you money in lost man-hours and increasing the up-time of your machine. The New RISO HC range builds on these traditional values to offer reliability far exceeding your expectations in the colour printing arena.
In 2001, RISO introduced the World's First Soy-Bean based oil for Digital Printers. By moving from petroleum to a primarily organic based product, RISO has shown that they remain committed to reducing the impact of their machines on the environment. This sustainable source of product produces a rich print, and maintains the legendary reliability, whilst at the same time leading the way in environmentally-friendly consumables.
Whilst the RISO Digital Printers continue meet customers needs far longer than traditional competitors, all good things must come to an end. As the WEEE directive comes into force in the EU, RISO has shown their commitment to ensure their products are recycled at the end of their life by putting in place recycling networks across Europe. In testing carried out in the UK by SIMS Recycling Solutions, sample batches of RISO products have shown a 100% recycling rate, far above the 65% target for IT equipment.
